Go-to-market strategy for B2B companies expanding into Africa and Asia Pacific

Grovuu is a go-to-market consultant for B2B and technology companies. We fix messy growth phases and plan new market entry: who to target, what to offer, how to price and position it, and which channels will turn it into revenue. Then we test the plan in the market and change it quickly when the evidence says so.

What a go-to-market strategy should answer

A good go-to-market strategy answers five questions before money is spent: which market and customers to focus on, what problem you solve for them, how your offer is priced and packaged, how you are positioned against the alternatives, and which channels and sales motion will reach those buyers.

Most go-to-market problems we see are not a lack of activity. They are activity built on unanswered questions: campaigns aimed at a vague audience, pricing copied from a different market, or a launch with no plan for what sales does next. We answer the questions first, then build the engine.

What's included

Go-to-market pressure testing

We test your current plan against the market, your numbers and your sales capacity, and show where it is likely to break.

Market and ICP recalibration

We define or redefine your ideal customer profile and the markets worth entering, using evidence from won and lost deals.

Pricing and packaging logic

We work out how your offer should be packaged and priced for each segment and market, so price supports positioning rather than undermining it.

Launch and relaunch strategy

We plan the launch: message, channels, sequence and the handover from marketing to sales, with metrics agreed upfront.

Expansion readiness

We assess whether the business, the offer and the sales team are ready for a new market before you commit budget to it.

How we approach go-to-market work

Two principles guide every engagement. First, readiness comes before growth: marketing can create opportunities, but if sales is not ready to close them, the investment leaks away. Second, a plan has to be pressure-tested and changed fast. A clear ICP is what makes that possible, because you know exactly who should respond.

  1. Two-week diagnostic. We check growth and sales readiness, then review your market, ICP, offer, pricing, channels and numbers.
  2. Go-to-market plan. Target segments, positioning, pricing and packaging, channels, the sales motion and the metrics for success.
  3. Test in the market. We launch the first motions and measure response against the ICP.
  4. Pivot or scale. What works is scaled; what does not is changed quickly, before more budget follows it.

Go-to-market work in practice

Strategizer: four African markets

For Strategizer's entry into Rwanda, Ghana, Uganda and Kenya, we combined direct outbound, account-based prospecting and partner-led market development. Paid advertising was deprioritised in favour of country-specific email and LinkedIn outreach, with sequences supported by SDR calls.

WiserTrack: entering the Philippines

We supported WiserTrack's market entry into the Philippines, alongside positioning work that, in the founder's words, made WiserTrack feel "fully aligned with product, message, and market" for the first time.

Go-to-Market Strategy questions

What is a go-to-market strategy?

A go-to-market strategy is the plan for how a company reaches and wins customers in a market: which customers to target, what to offer them and at what price, how to position the offer, and which channels and sales motion will turn interest into revenue.

When do we need a go-to-market consultant?

When you are entering a new market, launching or relaunching a product, changing your pricing or customer focus, or when growth has stalled and nobody agrees why. An outside view helps most when the team is too close to the problem.

How long does a go-to-market engagement take?

It starts with a two-week diagnostic. The minimum engagement is four weeks, and a market entry usually continues into execution so the plan can be tested and adjusted with real results.

Do you help with execution or only the plan?

Both. A plan that is not tested in the market is a guess. We set up the engine behind it, such as outreach, campaigns and sales handover, and adjust it as the evidence comes in.
